Ornament is Crime House .

(Overview photos show existing conditions.)
A newly purchased Mid Century home by a young couple called for an exciting reimagining of the main living spaces with furniture & lighting. Springboarding off the idea of a conversation pit, the pieces in the room were collated for maximum enjoyment by the owners and their guests, ensuring that every seat is just as special as another. The collection of pieces are both minimalist in form and maximalist in texture and finish, in contrast to an architectural design style that Adolf Loos in a 1908 essay heralded as having succeeded by its absence of ornamentation.
