A unique new home for dental clinic d-spa, celebrating its genesis as an Australian-born practice for preventative dental care.

Our client’s brief was to design the new South Yarra home for d-spa dental, a practice that was the first of its kind to shift a medical setting toward a spa-like environment - serene and calming. The clinic’s front area was to be the flagship store for ‘:Dsmile’, a dental hygiene kit aimed at transforming routine into ritual, for preventative care.

Australian-made materials, fixtures and fittings were a focus for the design, alongside elements of nature integrated into the architecture.Textures on surfaces throughout were chosen to contrast against the minimalist :Dsmile kit. Forms and materials speak of flowing water, earth, and nature.

A clinic design weaved into the fabric of place; visibly Australian, with echoes of home.
