A kitchen renovation for an inner city apartment, inspired by Milanese relaxed elegance and all aperitivo hours.
Our client’s brief for ‘La Cucina’ was to transform a poorly planned, tucked-away kitchen space concealed by a large structural column, into an alluring, theatrical chef's kitchen that would somehow bridge the gap between the kitchen and dining.
A trumpeted island bench was designed to interrupt the column and act as the ‘bar', a place to stand or sit and chat with either the cuoco del giorno or diners at the dining table.
