A dental clinic that boldly challenges the current landscape of medical fitouts, exploring a design aesthetic between Belgian austerity and Parisian decadence.
Our client’s brief was to design a fitout for their clinic's new home. Belgian Vincent Van Duysen and Parisian Joseph Dirand were design influences for them, and so a restrained aesthetic with a warm and luxurious feel set the tone for the project.
A monolithic, sculptural reception desk greets patients upon entry. Wide corridors and tall doors throughout give a sense of expansiveness.

Glazed wall lights reminiscint of African masks sit over the waiting room benches as a homage to the oryx. Bold black and white striped rugs cover the floor - an ode to those similar in Vincent Van Duysen's home.
The surgeries themselves were seen as important to remain clinical, yet soft and warm.
